Through an iterative process of improvements each part of month end was identified and redesigned. I used a database to do all of the data manipulation – no more copying and pasting; just click a button and review the output.
Not only does using a database cut out a lot of opportunity for human error it also allows you the opportunity to develop and automate reporting. This leads to days shaved off month end close and improved reporting delivered quickly to stakeholders.
